Central Alabama Pride Week


Central Alabama Pride, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization committed to spreading the message of equality throughout Central Alabama as well as educational programs and services to LGBTQ citizens and allies throughout the state and Southeast region. Each year we work to expand not only our community impact and outreach but also our festival which brings together all Central Alabama citizens.

Our events have grown over the years. Last year’s events were able to reach an estimated 10,000 people throughout the week showing continued growth. This year will be no exception and will reach more people than ever. now is your chance to tap into a market of extremely brand loyal patrons.

    Description: The October support meeting of PFLAG Birmingham will take place next Tuesday, 9/11, at 7:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4300 Hampton Heights Drive, Birmingham, 35209.     PFLAG Birmingham depends not only on your presence but also on your financial support. Your annual membership dues help support activities of both the local PFLAG Birmingham chapter and the national PFLAG organization. Support local activities include such projects as "Living In Limbo: Lesbians in the Deep South" at Birmingham Civil Rights Institute; Anytown Alabama, the youth prejudice-reduction summer program offered to high school students; the GLBT Youth Leadership Camp; the Magic City Choral Society; and Central Alabama Pride.

    The national organization is very active, lobbying Congress and state legislatures for marriage equality, parenting rights, employment non-discrimination, safe schools and hate crimes legislation.

    PFLAG Birmingham dues are $30.00 for an individual and $45.00 for a family. National PFLAG receives $15.00 of each membership. To pay by check, please make your check payable to PFLAG Birmingham. On the check, please mark "Dues" in the "For" line. You may mail the check to:

    PFLAG Anniston-Gadsden meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the library of Grace Episcopal Church, 1000 Leighton Avenue (one block east of Quintard) in Anniston.
